Abstract/Summary
Cardinal Santos Medical Center's website was made for the purpose of disseminating information faster and more efficiently. This minimizes the clogging of the phone lines in addressing certain inquiries about the doctors and their services and facilities. Relevant information was included in the webpage such as, the list of services and facilities which had a brief description of each services and the facility being used. A list of the accredited companies with medical insurance were also provided so that users can readily see what type of medical insurances are being accepted. The consultant's directory has a list of the different doctors at Cardinal Santos Medical Center. Each doctor's name is linked to a page wherein users can view a brief profile of the doctor. Application forms are readily made available in the website for applicants who want to join the residency training of Cardinal Santos. A first aid guide was also provided as an additional information for users on what to do in case of an emergency. A separate page was made for the Philippine Gamma Knife Center which is the latest acquisition of Cardinal Santos in its aim to provide high-quality health care to its clients.
The proponents used original pictures for the website. Everything had to be re-shoot because their file photos were already outdated. Half of the text were written by the proponents. The other half was also written by the proponents but was revised and edited by the organization. The ideas for the layout and the color were done by the proponents.
The website uses only basic HTML. Pictures and some of the images were edited and done by the proponents using Adobe Photoshop 5.0. However, the proponents incorporated the use of the CGI script in the implementation of the forms.
