Abstract/Summary

Air traffic analysis is becoming extremely important today as air traffic congestion is growing all around the world. This problem has existed since the early days of flight, but is now becoming critical due to the great increase in aircraft transportation.

This study aims to present actual data and condition of air traffic control delay at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Centennial Airport and Manila Domestic Airport. Characteristic and effect of peak hour traffic are also described in this project study. These data and conditions are also analyzed to provide an understanding towards any possible solution to develop air traffic within the airport understudy.

Charts and graphs have been made to present the data for analysis. Peak hour traffic was determined and was observed to have a high arrival rate around the afternoon. Rate of arrival and departure is high during the middle of the day and decreases during the night until the early morning.

A proposed time is utilized to determine deviation or delay from the actual time of arrival and departure. This deviation was plotted and analyzed to present trends of delay and at the same time show conditions when congestion particularly occurs. Major causes and important factors of delays were also discussed. As a result, possible solutions were drawn from the analysis and collaboration of the presented data.
