Abstract/Summary

The undergraduate students feel that learning does not come from books alone nor from the television or other people. It can also be best achieved with the help of multimedia technology thru the Internet. Tutorials in CDs are very much in the boom since the start of high-speed computer technology. What other way to better improve learning than setting up a system that is capable of running a tutorial on the web. This thesis is about a web-based Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI) on Microwaves.

The tutorial discusses all the essential parts that are needed for a student to learn basic and advanced fundamentals of the course about the subject. Web pages developed are powered by VBScript and Java Script, resulting to Active Server Pages or ASP. The ASP is a very powerful page capable of generating dynamic pages which has the primary advantage on random database access and computations with lesser system resource usage.

With the help of graphic animations and high audio quality sounds, students who get to evaluate the dynamic system did well in the course in answering end of chapter examinations thus proving that this thesis is effective and capable of teaching eager learners through the net.
