Abstract/Summary
Construction companies nowadays benefit a lot from the rapid rate of technological advancements especially in the development of computer application programs that are utilized in construction.
The group developed a computer-based information system for labor cost monitoring on site. The program processes the raw data gathered from the construction site and turns the data into useful and available information for the timekeeper, cost engineer, as well as the project manager on site. Monitoring of the cost of labor becomes easier with the use of the program. It also has the capability to automatically compute the payroll of the laborers and manpower. The inputs to the program include type of day (name of day, regular rate, and overtime rate), employee record (ID number, last name, first name, position, rate, date hired, status, and remarks), attendance sheet, work assignment, work accomplishment, and users. The program processes the inputs to produce the following outputs: labor cost report, productivity report, salary report, and manpower report.
