Abstract/Summary
A study on the potentials of Sargassum crassifolium as feed supplement for forty-five day old broilers was conducted using four varying combinations of powdered seaweed meal (4.17 percent, 8.33 percent, 12.50 percent, 16.67 percent) and B-meg feeds. These treatments were compared with the control group fed only with pure B-meg commercial feeds. Results showed that no significant differences exist among the treatment means. Seaweed meal from Sargassum crassifolium can thus, significantly increase the feed conversion efficiency. Results also further confirm the efficiency of seaweed meal as feed supplement.
