Abstract/Summary
A study on the identification of asteroids and ophiuroids was conducted in the months of October and December 1991, and April 1992 within the vicinity of the Germinal District, Bolinao, a commercialized fishing town, in the province of Pangasinan. Collections were done during mid-morning up to late afternoon in the intertidal area, approximately ten meters away from the shore. A total of eleven species of asteroids and seven species of ophiuroids were collected, identified, described, and classified. Asteroids belonged to one subclass, two orders, five families, two subfamilies, and seven genera. Ophiuroids belonged to one subclass, one order, two suborders, three families, and four genera.
