Abstract/Summary
The CGA RGB-to-NTSC video encoder would encode the different separated components of the color graphics adapter (CGA) signals into composite signals acceptable to an NTSC receiver. The project first uses the horizontal and vertical sync components of the CGA video signal to generate horizontal and vertical sync signals that are NTSC compatible. The generated NTSC compatible horizontal and vertical signals are combined to form a composite sync signal and is used in the encoding circuit. The RGB signals which make up the picture informations of the CGA signals are converted into NTSC compatible RGB signals. The resulting NTSC compatible RGB signals, and composite sync signal are simultaneously input to the color encoder. The color encoder encodes the input signals into a composite signal acceptable to an NTSC receiver.Thru the CGA RGB-to-NTSC video encoder, the video/picture delivered by the CGA can be displayed on an NTSC monitor or be recorded on an NTSC video recorder.
