Abstract/Summary
Conducting polypyrrole films were prepared by electrochemical synthesis from aqueous solutions containing pyrrole monomer and sodium p-toluenesulphonate. Conditions for obtaining films with optimum conductivity were determined by varying the current density, synthesis temperature and anion molarity. Optimal current density was determined to be 4 mA/cm2, optimal synthesis temperature at 10 centigrade and anion molarity at 0.1 M. when needed, synthesis procedures were done with improvised equipment.
