Abstract/Summary

This creative writing thesis is a poetry collection about beauty and fashion as a cultural phenomenon in a digital, post-modern age. This poetry collection, written in the confessional mode, gives voices to various female personae in order to explore how beauty and fashion affect their body image, relationships and identity. This thesis contains an exegetic essay, the author's creative writing process and a collection of 12 poems. This collection aims to contribute to the discourse on feminism, fashion, and body positivity.
