Abstract/Summary
The growth of corn, tomato, and eggplant on soil samples taken from the reclaimed area was investigated. The study revealed that the nutrient contents of the soil is insufficient for the growth of the plants. The plants have stunted growth, immature fruits, and visual symptoms of nutrient deficiency (eg. chlorosis), and delayed growth stages. It was also found that the pH value of the soil sample was so high for the plants. therefore proper response to nutrients cannot be obtained.
