Abstract/Summary
Ang Kotseng Asul, Ang Kotseng Pula is a childrens storybook which aims to teach children friendship and sharing. The storybook is recommended for children ages 7-9. The story is about a young boy who, due to bad experiences with other children, refuses to let anyone borrow his toys. Until he meets a friend that will show him that friendship comes with kindness and helping each other out. His friendship will also lead him to realize that sharing with a friend he cares about makes him happy.
The background study done for the book is focused on researching the appropriate age that a child fully appreciates and comprehends other peoples feelings and perspectives. This ten will show what age it is appropriate for them to learn empathy which will lead to friendship and sharing.
