Abstract/Summary
This study analyzes Peque Gallaga's signature on his film, Oro Plata Mata (1982) vis-a-vis the theme of violence by utilizing Andrew Sarris' Notes on the Auteur Theory in 1962 and by examining the film in correspondence to the researcher's personal interview. This study identifies not only Gallaga's imprint but also his message through the explicit savagery portrayed in the said film.
