Abstract/Summary
Seeds of Project Genesis is an undergraduate creative writing thesis in fiction, comprising of process essays and a science fiction novel entitled Project Genesis. The process essays consist of the following: a discussion about the writer's evolution as a budding fictionist, an overview on science fiction, an elaboration on the development of the premise behind Project Genesis, and an explanation regarding important elements of the creative project.
The novel itself is set in an alternative world, making use of allusions to history and involving ideas culled from soft science fiction, time travel lore, and philosophical ideas related to science fiction.
