Abstract/Summary
The study focuses on the struggles of Filipino OFW families where parents are separated from their children for long periods of time. It tackles the psychological and emotional effects on the children and on the parents and how their behavioral developments are affected by the situation. The thesis also explores the difficulties encountered by OFW families during the re-integration of the migrant parents into the family. The thesis aims to provide insight on a very socially relevant topic in Philippine society where labor migration is rampant.
