Abstract/Summary

This study analyzed Piaget Theory of Cognitive and affective Development and Constructivism as a technique in psychotherapy to identify the psychological explanation behind the idea of learning through experience. Experience can help in the acquirement of all types of knowledge namely: Physical, Logical and Social, which is vital for intellectual development. In Psychotherapy, the concept of Constructivism is used through internal dialect. In internal dialect, is similar to self-realization. This helps in solving a predicament, reaching a rationalization and forming a new meaning which can lead to change a person course of action to avoid the same conflict.
