Abstract/Summary

With the continuing loss of classical Filipino films due to poor archiving, the Society of Filipino Archivists for Film (SOFIA) aims to spread its advocacy for film archiving. However, their lack of a presence as the premiere archiving organization poses as a problem. As a solution, a website has been planned to fit the needs of the organization with regard to disseminating information and cause for film preservation and building a community of supporters for SOFIA.

Key sections of the website include a news page, discussion page where visitors can comment, a film database archive where information pertaining to already archived films can be found, an advocacy page where SOFIA's various advocacy programs are shown, a members section, an about section, an activities page where various SOFIA activities and events are listed, and a contact page to allow visitors to get in touch with SOFIA through various online channels.
