Abstract/Summary

Ang pagwawagi ni Gino deals with the topic of bullying and how kids can overcome this particular problem. Seen through the eyes of a second grader named Gino who is talented but looked down upon by his classmates, the story seeks to be a source both information and inspiration for parents and kids alike. By showing how the main character overcomes bullying by developing his talent and self-confidence, the story imparts the message that though we cannot avoid the obstacles in life, what really matters is how we deal with these conflicts and how we learn from them.

This thesis is a personal project to the proponent since much of it is semi-autobiographical as to how the author experienced being bullied in an exclusive boys' school in his younger elementary years.
