Abstract/Summary

This screenplay project shows how siblings of autistics are affected with the presence of autism in the family. What is new in this screenplay is that it takes and focuses on the point-of-view of the child coping with growing-up and the pains and struggles of growing up alongside an autistic brother. In the Philippines, cases of autism are nothing new, it is in fact common, that certain documentaries, TV drama and feature films tackle the hardships and pains of autism in a general view and perspective of the whole family or, in most cases, the parents' perspectives. In this screenplay, however, the story shows how the relationship of normal girl with her autistic brother changes from being good to worse as she grows up, showing how the siblings are affected in a deeper level.
