Abstract/Summary
A comparative study of the bacterial contents were made on holy water in church basins. The study covered 10 selected churches within Metro Manila. Isolation and identification procedures were made according to the routine procedures presented in Bergey's Manual of Determinative Bacteriology. Thirteen of the fourteen types of Bacteria obtained were identified, among them are potential pathogens to man. The results evidently tell us that holy water in basins is a potential source of infection, when its use is misused.
