Abstract/Summary
Zhang Da is a coming-of-age story that revolves around Hubert Gan, a Freshman high school student from a Filipino-Chinese all-boys school, who has difficulty adjusting due to his lack of self-confidence. He also encounters a problem when his barkada leaves him. Fortunately, he meets Andrew but their friendship takes a hit when Andrew's family decides to migrate. However, this serves as a blessing in disguise because Hubert is able to discover himself and learn how to fight his own battles. The story shows its audience the reality that some teenagers encounter and the importance of adolescence.
