Abstract/Summary
The thesis provides a web-based tutorial on Safety Engineering for Electronics and Communications Engineers (ECESAFE) through a computer aided instruction (CAI). The thesis covers usual hazards that affect the work of an Electronics and Communications Engineer and the safety measures that he or she must observe in order to reduce if not at all eliminate these hazards. The thesis also provides end of the chapter quizzes and long quizzes for testing the progress of the users. The CAI makes use of MOODLE as the virtual learning environment, and programs like Adobe Flash, TextAloud, and Adobe Photoshop for the creation of lecture materials.
