Abstract/Summary
This project is a photographic illustration of Gilda Cordero-Fernando's short fiction, The Dust Monster. It is a story of a lonely housewife named Reve whose life changed after the Dust Monster came along and ultimately after her husband straightened out. Color is used to aid in the visualization of emotions and show the transition in the couple's life. Their lives are dull and lifeless together. Thus, Reve and Sergio are primarily brown and white color, mirroring the colors of the Dust Monster. Their clothes and the things they touch are also in brown and white. As their marriage is restored, color fills their lives.
