Abstract/Summary
The Birthday Boy is a children's book about little Paul, a five-year old boy who is learning to adjust to life with a new baby sister. His lack of understanding of the situation initially caused him to have feelings of jealousy towards the attention his parents now show his new sister. As the story progressed, the little boy learned to accept the new addition to their household as he began to comprehend his role as an older sibling.
The project aimed to teach children about love and understanding within the family and also aimed to help children in dealing with sibling rivalry and jealousy among their relatives. The target audience was children, male and female, 2-6 years of age.
