Abstract/Summary
This study seeks to do an existentialist reading of three stories by Eli Ang Barroso, namely: The Bird Lover from City Hall , A Nobel Prize For Jorge Luis Borges and Afternoon Fever . This study uses the existential themes elucidated by Jean Paul Sartre as the conceptual component of the reading. The study focuses on the ways in which the characters of the stories embody existentialist themes and how the relations and dynamics among the characters exemplify these thematic concerns.
