Abstract/Summary
Cloud computing is becoming more popular and as a result, more and more companies are adopting cloud-based services and applications. Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are some companies that offer cloud services. Google offers many cloud applications such as Google mail, docs, maps, app engine. Aside from that, Google offers cloud application for developers called Google Collide. Collide is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that allows collaborative work for developers. Many cloud-based IDEs are made to suit the developers’ needs. Some of these are CodeRun Studio and CtrlSpace. However, cloud service management has not been integrated in CtrlSpace. All services, such as features and resources, have been delivered to all users of CtrlSpace in a one whole package. Because of this, the services in the CtrlSpace platform have not been managed and distributed properly. All of these services have been given but not all were being used by the users. Consequently, this research focused on designing and implementing cloud service management on CtrlSpace that provides an interface for the users to manage services in the system. This ensures that the users only choose the services that they need in the course of project development. CtrlSpace 3 is a web application that serves as an output of the research which is integrated with cloud service management. It is also incorporated with known application programming interfaces to support web services in the developed projects.
