Abstract/Summary
This study is an exposition of the article entitled Modified Farey Trees and Pythagorean Triples by Shin-ichi Katayama of Japan, which was published in the Journal of Mathematics, University of Tokushima, Vol 47, pp. 1-13, 2013. It is an explicit explanation on how modified Farey trees and Barning matrices are obtained and can be used to generate primitive Pythagorean triples.
