Abstract/Summary
The study is about the descriptive and analytic on-street parking scheme for the City of Pasig.
The streets for the study were limited to primary and secondary thoroughfares only. The streets were then categorized on their land use. A sample length of approximately 90 meters was used to observe the parking behavior of the vehicles in each land area. The values gathered from the field was computed in order to analyze the parking pattern and behavior on-street. Also, a sample size of 50 vehicles that are parked on-street were taken to establish a uniform parking slot dimension. The vehicular volume was also taken to estimate the volume of vehicles that are passing during the rush hour. Next, the statistics for the registration of vehicles was obtained to be able to estimate the growth rate of parking in the City. Linear regression was used to generate the parking growth rate. After which, a parking fee was set to estimate the revenue that the city will obtain for the next five years, assuming that the parking scheme will be implemented.
