Abstract/Summary
Technology has indeed made our lives easier because it has lessened the gap of a lot of things. With technology, people do not need to work or sweat as hard as before. A lot of things have improved because of technology. But most importantly the way people do business improved a lot because of technology. Technology has closed the gap in communication because of the internet, phones, and other communicational advancements. With this, people are able to communicate with ease even if they are located at both ends of the world.
Given this opportunity, business owners innovated and given rise to E-commerce. E-commerce is the act of transacting business within a network or in the internet. Small and medium sized companies do really use E-commerce as a means to reach new markets because it is relatively cheap compared to other forms of marketing tools. Also, using the internet has a wider data base because all sorts of people are using the internet. This can pave way to new and expanding market reach.
With this, the researchers chose to study the effectiveness of Group Buying Websites as marketing tool for small and medium sized firms particularly Travel Agencies. After thoroughly gathering the relevant data and information, the researchers analyzed and interpreted the data from the in depth interviews and surveys. The data came up with favorable results. Thus, the researchers are concluding that Group Buying Websites when use as a marketing tool can pave way for small and medium sized firms to reach new markets. To be specific, Group Buying Websites can be one of the attributes that small and medium sized Travel Agencies to gain more customers and earn more profits.
