Abstract/Summary

The purpose of this study is to describe and evaluate the growth of food technology-based enterprises through innovation. For this research, the group chose to look into a single company and a conglomerate in the baking industry, Gardenia Bakeries Philippines Inc. To gather data, the researchers were able to get in touch with the President and General Manager of Gardenia Bakeries Philippines, Inc., Mr. Simplicio Umali Jr. and interview him to know more about the practices of the company. Moreover, the group also conducted a survey to know the consumers perception on Gardenia and its products. A major finding found by the group is that the company was indeed able to develop and expand by constantly improving their processes and products. In line with this, they also came up with marketing strategies that would accompany their latest innovations. But then, while it is clear that Gardenia Bakeries Philippines Inc. is the best in their industry, the researchers recommend that the organization continue to find ways to enhance what they have in order to stay on top of the industry they belong in.
