Abstract/Summary

This is the documentation of the practicum experience as partial fulfillment of the requirements in On-the-Job Training program of De La Salle University Canlubang. The book contains all the information obtained and applied in the company and the academe. For the Background of the Enterprise, Greenfield Development Corporation was discussed as one of the growing company in real estate industry. The Brief History tackles the humble beginnings of the corporation as well as the whole company overview. It is in the Products/Services part the project portfolio of Greenfield containing different projects of the company, focusing on Paseo de Santa Rosa as the main division wherein the practicum took place. The Organizational Structure concentrates on the Retail Division Organizational part of Greenfield. It is illustrated there how the hierarchy of command is being followed as well as the section wherein the trainee belonged. Additional information about the mentors could be read after the Organizational Structure.

The Project Background explains the details of Database Management System of Prospect clients for Paseo de Santa Rosa as the main project for the OJT. The information could be obtained in this part is the process of improving the old database of the company as well as the objectives for doing this project. In Rationale, the current situation of the whole commercial center is described as the reason for doing the database. The emergence of Paseo 3 and Paseo 4 are the primary concern of sending out Lease Proposals from which the database will be in great use. It was explained the significance of the project as the application of the learning and skills of the students in the academe. The project description also confers the scope and limitation of doing the whole database management system, while the Student's Role gives the tasks that the practicum has done for the project.

The different tasks and activities like attending inquiry, researching clients information, and site visitation are discussed in Principles/Practice Integration. There are descriptions of the activities as well as principles behind each task. Microsoft Office Software became the valuable tool used for the entire OJT especially in the creation of the project. Different outputs were discussed also as part of the documentation. There are detailed Business Workflow diagrams that were also made to discuss the steps of different tasks assigned. The lessons Learned Documentation talks about the skills and traits used and learned during the OJT, brief explanation of relevant academic subjects, suggestions for improvement and ethical issue/dilemma confronted.
