Abstract/Summary
The main purpose of this study is to amend and improve the current rules and regulations that is being followed by the producers and manufacturers of food supplements and other similar products, in terms of their product labeling, advertising, testing, and effectiveness, which are being implemented and monitored by the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines, due to the weakness of the said rules that can lead to the harm of the consuming public.
The use and further analysis of needed information regarding the laws and implementing bodied that implement the laws applied to food supplements and other similar products were used and studied in order to carry out the main objective of our thesis paper. These said laws are the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Also known as Article 7924), the Philippine Constitution, the Dietary Supplement Health an Education act in the United States of America, the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration, the Codex Alimentarius, and other international laws, studies, and survey that would give sufficient information.
