Abstract/Summary
Most people are concerned with the increasing prices of basic and prime commodities specifically of drug prices in the Philippines. In this regard, proposals of imposition of price control on the pharmaceutical industry have been the focus of recent legislations. The researchers believe that direct price control which the House is proposing may endanger the quality of medicines and negatively affect the pharmaceutical industry in the long run. This study is to prove whether or not the drug regulatory board under the HB 2844 is the solution to effectively lower the drug price.
