Abstract/Summary
Infocom Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Sequel Concepts a New Jersey based IT company. Infocom is a founding member of the Philippine Internet Exchange (PhIX) and a member of A-Bone, the Asian Backbone, which is the fastest and widest network covering the entire Asia-Pacific region. As of June 1999, Infocom became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. right now, it continues to live up to its consumer promise, giving rise to the idea of making Internet Made Easy.
The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), focuses on its Convergence project, wherein all forms of communication and Information Technologies are combined to bring the Filipinos closer to the rest of the world since this project aims to blur the lines between existing technologies as well as physical locations
