Abstract/Summary
Ham is categorized as a ready-to-eat, refrigerated, and processed meat under Purefoods, which in turn is under the San Miguel umbrella of companies. In the past years the ham industry has declined by 18% from 2004. The decline has force Purefoods to take measures to arrest the decline and find ways to grow the category.
One trend that has been catching on it's the ON Promise Selling (POS) trend, which allows consumers to purchase and consume the products on the spot. Purefoods hopes to capitalize on this trend with their banner brand in the ham industry, which is Fiesta Ham. The major points of our paper delve into the marketing plan and product developments of the OPS outlet for Fiesta Ham.
