Abstract/Summary
This thesis is an exposition of the article "Partial Fractions, Binomial Coefficients and the Integral of an Odd Power of sec Ø" by Daniel J. Velleman, which appeared in the October 2002 Volume 109 issue of The American Mathematical Monthly. This paper stated an alternative method for evaluating integrals of odd powers of secant using combinatorial concepts.
