NGOs according to Jimenez-David (1995), are organizations that are visible on the community level which are initiatives of the private sector and not of government.

Independent variables used in the study were ratio analysis, the financial statements of Philippine Jaycees from 1995-2000, and the current business/operational strategy of the Philippine Jaycees. Dependent variables used were proposed marketing strategies, proposed financial strategies, and projected Income Statements (Statement of Dues and Expenses), Balance Sheets, Cash flows and Financial ratios. Intervening variables included were the regulations for NGOs, management decisions, and the economic and environmental condition.
