Abstract/Summary
This thesis is an exposition of the article entitled Integer Antiprism and Integer Octahedra by Blake E. Peterson and James H. Jordan which appeared on October 4, 1999 in American Mathematical Monthly. All of the formulas stated in the theorems in this thesis are results provided by Blake E. Peterson and James H. Jordan in their article entitled "Integer Antiprism and Integer Octahedra." It presents a comprehensive account of integer polygon, integer polyhedra, integer antiprisms and integer octahedra. The integer polyhedra are constructed from integer polygons.
The researchers were able to verify the formulas for solving the volume and area of integer antiprism and integer octahedra. Also, by using some concepts in geometry, they were able to expound on methods that generate integer polygons, integer polyhedra and integer antiprisms.
