Abstract/Summary
This thesis report is based on the article of Branko Grunbaum and Geoffrey Shephard entitled Satins and Twills : An introduction to the geometry of fabrics. The concept of sequences from calculus was extended to two-way infinite sequences. We restrict those sequences to sequences of zeros and ones with period n = 2 and n = 3. Here, we describe and illustrate a procedure for obtaining a fabric design from such sequence. For each period n = 2 and n = 3, we determined all reflections, translations and rotations of the plane which are symmetries of the design.
