Abstract/Summary
This thesis presents an introduction to fuzzy numbers. It deals with the basic concepts of fuzzy numbers using the level of presumption and interval of confidence. The main properties and operations on fuzzy numbers are also discussed in this paper. Moreover, the convolution and deconvolution of fuzzy numbers are introduced for the operations of minimum and maximum of fuzzy numbers over the set of integers.
All the formulas, definitions, and theorems stated in this thesis are results given by Arnold Kauffman and Madan M. Gupta in the book "Arithmetic of Fuzzy Numbers."
