Abstract/Summary
This thesis presents a generalization of cyclic sums for polygons with more than three sides in contrast to the concern of Ceva's theorem which is about a cyclic product. This thesis is an exposition of the article Cyclic Sums for Polygons by G.C. Shephard. Most of the theorems and definitions in this thesis are results given by the said article. Discussion of affine transformation and related topics in geometry, calculus, linear algebra, and trigonometry were used to expound on the topics which were not proved in the article. The section of the article concerning golden section ratio was omitted and the omission was insignificant to the study.
