Abstract/Summary

The outdoor environment is something to appreciate at these times. The fog of Mt. Makulot in Batangas, the underground caves in Sagada up north, the winds of Mt. Makiling in Los Baños, the cool fresh water of the Daraitan river in Rizal. Nature is good change of sight from the regular city scenes. That is why the proponents thought of something that can help the outgoing in their communication with nature.

The proponents have decided to manufacture a new type of sleeping bag for the comfort of the outgoing type of people. The new sleeping bag features better quality materials, new features like the opening on top and lighter weight compared to others in the market today.

A population was gathered from different outdoor clubs and mountaineering societies of the different colleges and universities of Metro Manila. A random sample was selected and was asked to answer a questionnaire to determine whether the proponents have a demand for the product.

Canvassing of materials was conducted by the proponents carefully to determine a good choice of materials for the proposed product. A time and motion study was then conducted in order to find out how long it takes the proponents to make a sleeping bag and how many sleeping bags they can make in a production day.

A careful financial study was made by the proponents in order for them to balance all their assets properly and manage the capital of their firm. Projected costs and expenses as well as projected net income were computed to know the financial position of the would be corporation, the Outsiders Corporation.

Management and Legal studies were also conducted to comply with the management and legal requirements and a Socio-economic study was also conducted to promote and comply with the social responsibility of the proponents in running the business.

This feasibility study leads the proponents to start the proposed venture effectively and to reach the objectives of the proponents in all aspects.
