Abstract/Summary
Information is an essential ingredient for the operation and management of any organization. Advances in information technology provide opportunities for increased reliability, performance and productivity. Information System is needed in order to gain competitive advantage.
RMI Personnel Resources and Services, Inc. accepts interested applicants to their manpower pool provided that they meet the requirements and/or qualifications set for by the firm. Jobs are open to skilled and unskilled workers. Currently, the agency deploy workers and render promotional services to different provincial and suburban outlets. In its continuing business progress on their diversified services, the workforce had tremendously gone high due to the influx of patrons and clientele.
Monitoring and updating RMI Personnel Resources and Services, Inc.'s applicants and field personnel records, payroll reports and promotional records have been found to be tedious and time consuming. This thesis study will then be aimed at examining and analyzing the current system processes, identifying the problem areas and developing a fully-functional information system for RMI.
RMI aims to give utmost convenience to their applicants, field personnel, clients, and promo-merchandisers. Whatever kind of service provided should have a favorable impression towards the company. Therefore, there is a need to come up with a more efficient and effective system for processing the regular transactions of RMI Personnel Resources and Services, Inc. This denotes transmuting the manual way of processing data into an automated or computer assisted data processing.
The proposed computer-based information system promises to substantially streamline the current system in use since the only mandatory task that will be carried out is entering the fundamental data. The computer information system has the task of controlling the overall management data.
By effectively implementing and addressing the information system, the study can help the RMI Personnel Resources and Services, Inc.'s staff have more jobs to accomplish with less effort and time and thus improving their operations. As for the company, RMI will be able to meet and encompass its company goals and objectives, further gaining a competitive edge against other recruitment agencies.
