St. Paul College of Manila was established on 1911 and has been educating young women for some years now. It is owned and administered by the Congregation of the Sister of St. Paul of Chartres of French Origin, in the Philippines. The internal operations of the school are divided into 4 services/departments namely: General School Services, Student Services, Academic Services and Finance Services. The functions of the Academic Services are further subdivided into 9 namely: Advisory Council, Cashiering, Accounting/Bookkeeping, Credit/Collection. Internal Control, External Audit, General Procurement Office. Retreat House and Personnel Assistance Fund. The group plans to study and developed an integrated information system for the Office of the Registrar, Academic Program and the Accounting/Bookkeeping.
The primary reason for developing an integrated information system for St. Paul College of Manila is to reduce if not eliminate the overlapping of functions in the said departments.
Its main users are the employees of the school. The system to be developed will aid the school in its operations.
