Abstract/Summary
Light Rack, Incorporated is a company that produces Lamparack, a lampshade and a Cd rack in one. The proponents believe that this corporate name fits the corporation's personality. Aside from this, the proponents believe that the mere name will express what the nature of the company is.
Lamparack's body is made up of tangile plywood, while the shade of the lamp is made up of linen cloth with a plastic inside. It is an innovative product that offers two products for the price of one. The Lamparack is composed of dividers which can be used either as a storage of compact discs or small items that would catch the fancy of the consumer.
Before the proponents decided to make the Lamparack, they made sure that they have a legitimate supplier of cheap raw materials to have reach a reasonable price. The proponents also made sure that they had the machinery and tools necessary for the production of the product. The proponents also made sure that they can perform the manufacturing processes that the production of Lamparack needs and requires.
The proponents did a survey using the systematic sampling method. The households of three upper-class subdivisions were chosen to be their target market while students of different universities and high schools were chosen as the secondary market. The target market was surveyed to obtain valuable information for the improvement of the product. According to the results of the survey, there is a market share of 37% and a potential monthly demand of 109 units. This means that the proponents can be assured that all the products produced per month will be bought and even if they attempt to increase their production, they don't have to worry about having a surplus because there is a higher demand for the product. With the total production cost of P 516.42, the proponents decided to place a 25% mark-up so that they can have a selling price of P 670.
As a form of promotional strategy, the proponents will distribute leaflets to the target consumers. Consignment of the product will also be an option for the company so that they can generate greater amount of sales. Aside from this, the proponents plan to participate to all Practicum bazaars that may come in the course of the company's existence.
As regards to the financial study, all the figures computed showed favorable results. Based on the numbers, profits will be earned and investments will surely be returned to the incorporators. The company, in the course of its operations will encounter fewer problems since it showed generally positive outcomes.
An organizational structure was carefully drafted by the proponents to ensure that a supervising officer monitor each task. In accordance to this, the proponents created rules and regulations to be followed in the course of the formal meetings and production days so that the corporation will be guided.
