Abstract/Summary
Goin' Pajamas, Inc. , a corporation which will sell pajamas, has its plant located at #5 Winston St., St. Michael Homes, Meycauayan, Bulacan. The product was named Jammies which is a two-piece sleepwear with a V-neck design and short sleeves, that comes with a pocket and five buttons.
A survey questionnaire was used to gather data. The respondents were chosen through systematic random sampling. Out of the 367 respondents, only 242 wear pajamas. And out of the 242 respondents who wear pajamas, 212 respondents were willing to buy the Jammies. The data gathered was tested using hypothesis testing. Monthly demand is 431 per month using the conservatism rate. The selling price is P 350, which was derived using cost-plus pricing. This will be sold at bazaars and at wholesale to existing shops in malls. Personal selling, posters, and word-of-mouth will be used to promote the product. The proponents decided to use the assembly-line method for production for it will yield a more productive output. The proponents are capable of producing an average of 15 units per production day. The plant to be used is in Bulacan. This plant is appropriate because it has the facilities that the proponents need. In addition, the said plant has ample space for production. The proponents will use 6 machines and tools will be included in the rent of these machines. The production cost per unit is P 248.822 with a break-even of 10 units per month.
The proponents chose a corporation as the form of ownership. Goin' Pajamas Inc. will be used as the corporate name. The corporation consists of 10 incorporators, and these ten incorporators are the corporations' Board of Directors as well. The corporate will exist for 10 months. The authorized capital stock of Goin' Pajamas Inc. is P 20,000 with 20,000 authorized shares at a par value of P 1. Salaries will be given in cash every 15th and 30th of the month. There will be 8 working hours per week for production. Production days will be on Sundays, from 8:00am to 5:00 pm.
The various assumptions made in the Financial Study guided the formulation of Project Cost Statement, the preparations of the Financial Statements and Financial Budgets. The project cost for the month of October is P 20,000. The total sales is estimated to be P 124,250.00. Goin' Pajamas Inc. is expected to produce 355 units for the 9-month production. The following projections were made: Cost of Goods Sold- P88,821.69, Net Income- P27,766.30, Cash Flow-P 47,766.30, and the balancing figure in the Balance Sheet is P 47,766.30. Generally, the resources are well-utilized but the costs are not efficiently controlled.
Nonetheless, Goin' Pajamas Inc. has also partaken social responsibilities such as creating a waste disposal program and contributing to the country's GNP through the proponents' purchase from the suppliers. It would not only benefit the stockholders in terms of profit but also stakeholders though business dealings and transaction.
