Abstract/Summary
Ten Entrepreneurs And Managers is engaged in the manufacture of Pop-Up Pillows. These are small pillows that can be folded and stored inside a tin can, making the product unique, attractive and portable. The company's plant site located at 24-26 Elga St., Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.
The main reason for the company's existence is the escalating demand for portable pillows arising from the simple fact that people tend to sleep or take their nap at places not convenient and comfortable enough to do so.
The cloth used for the pillow is made out of cotton. The material being stuffed inside the pillow is open fiber. The designs of the pillow will vary from plaid, stripes, plain, cartoon characters and abstract. The finished product will be rolled and placed inside a bronze cylindrical tin can, the container of the pillow.
The greatest factor that will drive the company into operation is the result of the survey which shows an adequate percentage of the potential target market. For this particular business, the proponents determined that its target market would be college students from De La Salle University, St. Scholastica's College and Assumption College. The Gross Market Acceptance Ratio (GMAR) of the Pop-Up Pillow is around 78.71% indicating that the product is readily acceptable to the market. The market share of the proponents is only 5.67% because the proponents only wish to establish a niche in the market.
TEAM INC. is focused on personal selling, distribution of fliers, selling in bazaars, and consigning as its marketing strategies. The logo of the product is a cute pillow holding a teddy bear under a starry night. Such logo promotes the product's ability to give comfort while sleeping.
The company's average production capacity is 21 units per production day, and the selling price of the pillow was computed at P 150.00. All operations will be managed by a group of elected officers all through out. The corporation's capitalization is set at P 18,000.00, leaving the company with a projected income of P 26,417.50 towards the end of the business period.
The societal benefits of the business presents a host of positive indirect outcomes. All the ten members are designated to work on certain tasks, thus setting the labor capacity at its peak and generating employment. Another benefit the company offers is the continuous supply of commodities and demand for raw materials and supplies.
The awareness and sensitivity of each group member to their surroundings are very important, thus, they are constantly reminded to use environment friendly materials and to dispose waste products properly. The members have also been informed of the proper computation of taxes. They are also encouraged to work in harmony with each other. As a result, each individual knows and acknowledges the capacity and limitations of another, developing their personal growth.
The time, effort and money invested is well compensated by the benefits, lessons and profit making the establishment of the business is feasible.
