Abstract/Summary

The prevailing trend in imaging industry is instituted by vital concern for customer satisfaction that ascended into the realm of competition. This becomes a growing interest for Kodak to venture into research and development. In line with this, a group of students from De La Salle University was accommodated to conduct a research study on slide films. Thus, A Survey on the Market Application of Kodak Slide Films: An Evaluation, had crystallized. Such title bears the main problem, What are the market applications of slide films that Kodak can advantageously explore and eventually exploit? . To pursue this, the researchers had used survey questionnaires and phone interviews imploring a purposive sampling technique.

Result of the survey identified the potential and current users, market consumption and demands were observed. Moreover, results showed that users find slide films advantageous in terms of convenience, fine results and reliability. However, the slide film market was observed weak because consumers purchase the product only when the need arise .

From the above findings the researchers recommend that Kodak should review the product benefit and features. Thus, leading to product improvement and sales promotions strategies.
