Abstract/Summary

Ribbons Incorporated is a manufacturing firm of RIBBONLOPE. The RIBBONLOPE is an envelope which has decorative images and ribbons as its main feature. It is made from a special kind of material called the book cloth. This material is known for its durability. Ribbons Incorporated was chosen because it is descriptive of what the corporation uses as design for its product.

In setting up the corporation, there is a need for the following incorporators : Rosemarie Ang, Teryshe Chua, Markwin Chuah, Lindsay Go, Reynard Hing, Josephine Malleta, Maybelle Ng, Mark Wesley Tan, and Tiffany Yam, to subscribe to 1720 shares each and a paid-up capital of P2150 each.

RIBBONLOPE is an innovative product especially chosen by the proponents. In coming up with the product, the proponents first made sure that the needed tools, materials and equipment were available. The proponents decided to pursue the study since the suppliers of raw materials were available and there were a number of people from whom the tools and equipment may be rented. In the technical aspect of the study, the cost per unit of production and break-even computations were shown. Results proved that after selling 95 units, break-even may already be achieved. This is a very good indicator that the proponents may easily recover their costs and earn profit especially if all the 112 units of production capacity are sold.

On the marketing aspect, survey results showed that there will be a potential monthly demand of 144 units. Survey was done using systematic sampling. This part also showed the different marketing strategies which may be employed. The market preferred personal selling as the primary promotional tool of the corporation so this may be used most of the time by the proponents. In coming up with the price, cost-plus and demand-based were used. The proponents made use of a 28.36% mark-up for the product and came up with a selling price of one hundred thirty-nine pesos (P 139.00) per unit. The proponents also based the product's features on what was demanded by the market.

Financial analyses also showed positive results. Profits may be generated in the continuance of the business and the resulting return on investment was positive.

The organizational structure was constructed by the proponents and careful appointment was done for each of the positions. Together with this, rules and regulations as well as disciplinary actions were formulated and agreed upon by among the proponents. Legal requirements may also be complied with and a Gantt Chart of activities was prepared in order to ensure that pre-operating, operating, and post-operating activities are followed as scheduled.

Based on the results shown, the proponents have all the reasons to continue with the proposed project. RIBBONLOPE will not only be useful for the students but it will also benefit the different sectors which includes the government, environment, officers suppliers and employees.
