Abstract/Summary
The National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) is an advisory and recognition body under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). To further enhance its operations, the agency requested for the development of a Management Information System Plan.
A three (3) year MIS-Plan was established by using two methodologies: the Information Strategic System Planning (ISSP) and the Business System Planning Guide (BSP). A thorough study and assessment of the operations, personnel, and IS support was first made to determine the agency's problem areas and key result areas. Based on these information, the group has come up with the different projects or systems as well as implementation guidelines and schedule for each one.
These projects, if properly implemented will greatly help the agency to fulfill or accomplish its function and mandates.
