Abstract/Summary
The toxicity of Baygon and Raid against healthy American cockroaches (Periplaneta americano) was determined. The 48 hour LD50 was estimated using Finney's Probit Analysis. The estimated 48 hour LD50 value for Baygon was 323.808 ug/ml and 0.683ug/g per individual. The estimated dose for Raid is 56.048 ug/ml and 0.057 ug/g per individual insect. Based on the 48 hour LD50. Raid appeared to be more toxic than Baygon to American cockroach (Periplaneta americana).
